First-year review, promotion, and tenure applications in academia are often black-boxed for a rather high-stakes situation. This is increased when professors do community-based research that can take more time, have benefits for communities that aren’t always obvious to university metrics, and where skills and innovative methods can be underarticulated.
Join IN Co-Director Max Liboiron and other team members for two virtual, two-hour workshops on July 16 & 17, 2025. Day 1 will focus on the CV, and day 2 will focus on the rest of the file. Come prepared with your documents, as participants will be placed in working groups. Registrants will also receive a workshop resource package in advance.
Everyone is welcome, including postdocs, those pursuing a second promotion, and new Associate professors. While we will focus on effective communication of community-based researchimpacts, the strategies canbe beneficial to academicsbroadly.
